Rahat Fateh Ali indicted in India

Prominent Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his manager Maroof were charged in India. Rahat was questioned by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials (DRI) for allegedly carrying USD 1.24 lakh (about Rs 60 lakh) of undeclared foreign currency under the FEMA and Customs Act of India.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Detained with Undeclared Foreign Currency‎

Famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained at the IGI airport by revenue intelligence sleuths for allegedly carrying a huge amount of undeclared foreign currency. Khan, who is a hit Bollywood playback singer, arrived on a flight from Karachi and was intercepted by personnel from Directorate of Revenue Intelligence acting on some prior information, official sources said.

Three Protesters Killed in Indian-Held Kashmir by Troops Firing

Indian forces fired on protesters hurling stones at them in Indian-administered Kashmir on Monday, killing three people and wounding at least 17 other demonstrators, police said. For the last three months, the mostly Muslim Kashmir region has been roiled by demonstrations and clashes between protesters opposed to Indian rule and government forces. The deaths bring to 68 the number of people killed in the civil unrest.

World’s Double Standards on Pakistan-China Nuclear Deal

New Delhi and Washington are objecting the nuclear deal between Pakistan and China under which China will export two nuclear power reactors to Pakistan in a USD 2.375-billion agreement.
