Sarah Said and her sister Amina Said were found dead in a taxicab outside a hotel on New Year’s day. The girls were shot several times causing their death.  Their father is the prime suspect in this killing and is currently on run.
I would not like to get involved in discussions as if it was a case of honor killing or domestic violance and it has nothing to do with religion. I beleive that being a Muslim, it is my responssiblity to stand up and try my best in all my capacity to minimize …

A very tragic death of a 16 year old Aqsa Parvez in Canada by her father Muhammad Parvez has left most of us wondering why it could not been avoided?  The press and media is depicting it as the ‘honour killing’ and ‘not wearing hijjab’ is highlighted as the prime motive behind this gruesome murder.  The father and Aqsa’s older brother Waqas Parvez are now behind the bar since December 11, 2007 and will face trial in due course of time.
