I beleive that it is the way we can show peacefully others that we Muslims are against Terrorism and violence. We are as peace loving as anybody else can be.

I will be posting the progress on this blog how the group is growing and how Muslims around the world are joing hands against terrorism.

The survey also concluded that Muslims are now increasingly voting based on issues and not base their votes on party. This is a good sign for American Muslims and shows that Muslims are basing their vote on the issues and current situation and not just blindly on party.

“Yes, We can” this is what US President elect Barack Obama told over 100,000 cheering crowd on the night of his victory in US presidential election 2008.

I would tell all the Muslims brothers and sisters around the globe that Yes we can also change the situation in which Muslims are these days. Yes we can change the way people around the world think about Muslims.  We cannot do that through violance which a small portion of Muslims think it the way to change. Change is only possible through education,  peace, understanding others and adapting to changing realities.

Yes we can change the situation if we all peace loving Muslims become involved in changing the conditions in what we beleive through our deeds, actions, speech and progress in education, economy and technology.

Congratulations to Barach Obama for his election as the 44th President of United States and showing us that “Yes we can do it”.

I would like to draw the attention of Muslims to the sober victory message to the unquestionably mindful of the high expectations attendant on his victory. Obama said that it would take “more than one year and more than one term” to address the challenges ahead.  “But we will get there – we as a people will get there.”

He further said that the task would be done as it always had in America, “block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand”.

And that is the way we can change too and not through violance.

There was a mixed responce to Momin Khawaja’s arrest in 2004. Some called it part of racial profiling and Islamphobia and some took the wait and see approach. The conviction should be considered as a wake up call to all the Muslim youth who have distorted idealogy of Islam and Jihad. If Muslims really want to change the way they are being treated around the world, they need to treat themselves and fellow citizens properly.  Violance has never been a key to success anywhere around the globe. Violance only further deteriorate the situation. 

All the parents should be very watchful of their young ones and monitor their activities to ensure none of them follow the path of Momin Khawaja which leads to only and only misery.

“Is there something wrong being a Muslim in this country?”

This is an encouraging sign for many American Muslims who strongly beleive in American values as well as their relegious faith.

Most of the newspaper in India have reported the incident without even mentioning that people who were killed were all Muslims.  Imagine if the deads were hindu then how the media have reported this incident?

Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban’s former ambassador to Pakistan, denied that the get-together could be construed as peace talks. But President Hamid Karzai has long called for negotiations with the Taliban, and the meeting could spur future initiatives.

U.S. State Department spokesman Robert Wood referred reporters to the Afghan or Saudi governments for comment on the alleged meeting in Saudi Arabia. A spokesman for Karzai’s office declined to comment.

The only way to peace is negotiation with each other. Killing each other will never resolve this issue and only brings more destruction and misery to their own people. There is nothing in this world that cannot be resolved through diaglouge if there is a strong will and commitment to do so. 

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari met with US Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.  “Gorgeous,” this is how Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari described Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin when she met him in New York.”You look so gorgeous. Now, I know why the whole of America is crazy about you,” Zardari said, while receiving Palin, also the Governor of Alaska, at the Millenium  Hotel in New York.”You are so nice,” 44-year-old Palin, a former Miss Wasilla runner up in Alaska beauty pageant, told Zardari, husband of slain former Pakistani Premier Benazir Bhutto.An aide of Zardari then told the two to keep shaking hands for the cameras.”I’m supposed to pose again,” said Palin, who has energised the Republican Presidential nominee John McCain’s camp.”If he’s (aide) insisting, I might hug,” 53-year-old Zardari replied, for which Palin smiled politely in response.The conversation was captured on a camera and telecast later.

President of Pakistan has become the first world leader who indicated that Sarah Palin’s physical appearance could have significant diplomatic potential in office.  I think what Mr. Zardari said to Palin during that meeting was just the way he is. Friendly and informal. Though in diplomatic world his comments are not appropriate. 

Nothing much about other details of the meeting between Mr. Zardari and Sarah Palin are available.

“There was total misinformation fed to the coalition forces,” presidential spokesman Humayun Hamidzada told The Associated Press.  Afghan police have since arrested three suspects accused of giving the U.S. military false intelligence that led to the bombardment, the Interior Ministry has said.

An Afghan government commission found that up to 90 civilians were killed, including 60 children. That finding has been backed up by a preliminary UN report.

“Not a single Talib was killed,” Hamidzada said. “So it was a total disaster, and it made it even worse when there were denials, total denials.”

The U.S. at first said that 30 insurgents and no civilians were killed. A formal U.S. military investigation found that the operation killed up to 35 rebels and seven civilians.

But after video images surfaced last week showing at least 10 dead children and up to 40 other dead villagers, the U.S. said it would send a general to investigate the incident further.
