UN Responce to Israel’s Massacre in Gaza

UN security council has issued a ’strong’ statement on the killing of over 300 people in Gaza strip by Israel’s assualt which Israel calls its right of self defence. In the statement, security council has called for end to violence by both parties. There is no mention of Israel or Hamas. There is no concern about the disproportionate use of force by Israel killing and wounding hundreds of people.
The UN secretary general voiced his concern in a statement issued by his spokeswoman Michele Montas:

How long will the Gaza truce last?

A fragile truce between Israel and Hamas came into force in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, amid scepticism over how long the Egyptian-brokered deal would hold. It is the first formal ceasefire since Hamas’s takeover of the territory just over a year ago, which triggered a crippling Israel blockade of the Gaza Strip.
