Israel holding Middle East hostage
Jordan’s King Abdullah II who is on an official visit of Romania said that an Arab peace initiative offers a solution for peace in the Middle East, emphasising that Israel should seize the opportunity or risk ongoing conflict in the region.
He said, “Israel must decide whether they want to observe this opportunity and become integrated in the region or whether they want to remain a fortress … and keep the Middle East hostage in conflict.”
The king met Romanian President Traian Basescu to discuss bilateral issues and the need for peace in the Middle East.
The Arab peace initiative offers Israel recognition by all Arab countries in exchange for her withdrawal from territory captured during 1967, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital and a just solution to Palestinian refugees problem.
Israel most probably will not withdraw from the captured territory due to fact that this way it can keep its control over water. However, on the other hand withdrawel can establish peace in the region.

Nice article thank you.
Just curious — just what happened in 1967 when the Arabs *had* those borders? Oh yea, they amassed on the tiny Jewish State’s borders bent on exterminating every Jew. What happened in 1948 when they had all that land and were offered a State of their very own by the UN? Oh yea, they chose to attack the newly formed Jewish State. In both cases, the surrounding Arab nations TOLD the Arab inhabitants to LEAVE, so they wouldn’t get caught in the intended slaughter of every Jew in the land.
Oh yea, when did the Arabs start calling themselves “Palestinians?” After 1967.
Oh yea. What land is REALLY “Palestine?”
Answer: JORDAN.
Facts are funny things, especially when ignored.
