South Nepean Muslim Community (SNMC) has successfully bid for an institutionally zoned prime city land at Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa after Ottawa city council has approved it. SNMC will pay $1,050,000 for approximately 1.3 hectres of land.  SNMC requires community’s generous donations to raise additional $550,000 by Oct 2009 to complete Masjid and community center project.

South Napean Muslim Community members gathered at 3020 Woodroffe Avenue to celebrate the ocassion and post the sign on the new Masjid and community center site on May 31, 2009.  We at LinkMuslims.com congratulate SNMC for this joyous occasion. Muslim community in South Nepean also offered first prayer on the new location.
