South Nepean Muslim Community (SNMC) has successfully bid for an institutionally zoned prime city land at Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa after Ottawa city council has approved it. SNMC will pay $1,050,000 for approximately 1.3 hectres of land.  SNMC requires community’s generous donations to raise additional $550,000 by Oct 2009 to complete Masjid and community center project.

Police is searching for the suspect in fatal shooting of George Tiller, the Wichita doctor who became a national lightning rod in the debate over abortion. Dr. George Tiller, 67, was shot just after 10 a.m. in the lobby of Reformation Lutheran Church at 7601 E. 13th, where he was a member of the congregation. Allah had blessed us with a beautiful and loving daughter. Allhamdullillah. Bismah our 7 year old princess used to pray to Allah day and night asking for a baby brother.
